Job summary

Swissport International AG in Boston seeks an experienced operations leader to oversee into-plane and ground service fueling operations, scheduling, budgeting, and performance management. You will ensure customer standards and contract services are delivered, while maintaining safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

The role requires a strong background in aviation services, team leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Eight years into-plane experience with five years in a management role.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, procedures or regulations, and documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and efficient operation through staff under supervision.
• Ensure customer standards, contract services, and safety policies are met.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs, airport authority and company rules.
• Monitor time and attendance; manage staff to minimize overtime.
• Liaise with customers, airport authority and government representatives.
• Coach and discipline staff as needed.
• Review activity and reports to ensure service adequacy and changes as required.
• Achieve KPIs for location, employees, aircraft incidents, on-time performance, and financial performance.

Job Summary

Responsible for day-to-day safe and efficient operation of into-plane and GSE fueling operations including activity scheduling, manpower planning, fuel quality audits, budgeting/forecasting, and performance management. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that customer service standards are met, and contract services are performed.

The expected salary is $85,000-$95,000 annually. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities

• Actively (through subordinate staff members) maintain a safe and efficient operation to effect operational efficiency and economy.
• Accountable for ensuring customer standards are met and contract services are performed.
• Ensures that company safety and health policies are enforced.
• Ensures that FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs, airport authority and Company rules and regulations are complied with.
• Ensures compliance with ATA 103 Fuel Quality Control Specification, NFPA 407 and FAR Part 139.321.
• Through subordinate staff members monitors time and attendance tracking and manages staff to reduce dependence on overtime.
• Liaise regularly with all customers, airport authority and governmental agency representatives.
• Coach/counsel, discipline employees who violate company policy.
• Confers with branch administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and sales reports to determine adequacy of services or determines changes as required.
• Achieve location, employee and aircraft incident/accident KPIs.
• Achieve location on-time performance KPIs.
• Achieve location financial performance KPIs.

Your profile

• College Level Degree preferred
• Minimum of eight years into-plane experience, with five years in a management role required.
• Must have strong organizational skills, detailed oriented
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical or operating procedures or government regulations, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Thorough knowledge and work experience with Windows Office programs including Word, Excel, Power point
