Job description

NoScrubs is the fastest, most affordable laundry delivery service that’s ever existed. Americans spend 50 billion hours every year on the chore (equivalent to 75,000 lifetimes!).

Previous laundry delivery services were limited by a) high cost, b) slow turnaround, and c) limited geographic scale. These limitations made them not broadly applicable. While laundromats and delivery services exist, they are all severely limited. NoScrubs uses decentralized laundry locations to offer a quality of service and price point on laundry delivery that has never been possible before. Our mission is to rid the world of the chore of laundry. If you’re up for the challenge and ride of your life, consider joining us.

We are at the ground floor startup stage. Founder/CEO Matt (who is writing this) was previously cofounder/CEO of AdQuick.com (Zillow for billboards), worked at Amazon Flex, and was the ~20th employee at Instacart. Co-founder Su (Head of Engineering) has been starting companies and coding for a decade. We expect you to be familiar with the ownership, urgency, intensity, and ambiguity of startup work.

We recently closed our seed round led by Initialized Capital.

The role

We’re looking for a City Manager to lead all aspects of the DFW market, with support from the team. As this is our first expansion market, you should be able to handle ambiguity and prioritize effectively to run the market efficiently. This role reports to the CEO. There will be many opportunities for ownership at this early-stage startup. We expect major hustle, hard work, and creativity to improve operations and customer service in Austin in preparation for national expansion. Think of this as the modern-day equivalent of an "Earnest Shackleton job posting".

Compensation will be heavily equity-weighted. We also offer health benefits and free laundry service!

  • Scrubber onboarding and management - maintain our pool of Scrubbers, provide feedback, and improve our app.
  • Location partnerships - visit and onboard laundry location partners, optimize operating locations for better service.
  • Growth tactics and hustle - connect with communities, businesses, and events in DFW.
  • Logistics - work with delivery and robotics partners to integrate into NoScrubs.
  • Customer Service - handle inbound outreach, investigate issues.
  • Proactive project ownership - identify areas for operational and customer experience improvements for our expansion.
