Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc is seeking a DEXA Technologist in Modesto, CA. The role includes performing whole body, forearm, hip and spine DEXA tests, patient care, and related duties within a radiology imaging department.

Shift: days, Hours: 8am - 5pm, Wage Range: $25 - $27 per hour. ARRT: R.T. (BD) or ISCD: CBDT is required. Must maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
Ability to prioritize and complete necessary tasks.

Responsibilities

Performs DEXA tests in accordance with appropriate protocols, safety standards, and policy.
Performs post-scan quality assurance reviews and releases films for interpretation.
Calibrates scanner daily, quality control, archives scans completed on disc, and maintains daily logs.
Answers patient questions and concerns with care and compassion.
Maintains supplies and assists in purchasing of x-ray room needs.
Performs DEXA Technologist duties as necessary following established procedures for patient care and safety.
Adheres to the organization's radiation safety program.
Maintains effective communication with supervisor and management on issues affecting the department.
Predictable attendance and promptness in reporting to work and returning from breaks.
