Bright Light Medical Imaging is seeking a compassionate DEXA Scan Technician to perform DEXA examinations and provide professional, respectful patient care. Onsite Arlington Heights location with daytime hours. Training provided under supervision of radiologic technologists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR-BLS Certification.
• Experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to assist patients with positioning and mobility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, respectful and professional patient care.
• Ability to follow DEXA examination protocols and safety procedures.
• Ability to work with patients with limited mobility.

Responsibilities

• Perform DEXA examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
• Obtain and verify patient identification and medical history relevant to the exam.
• Explain the procedure to patients and give clear instructions.
• Position patients and operate DEXA equipment for high-quality images.
• Review scans for quality; repeat exams as needed per protocol.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
