Radiologic Technologists are responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and acquire and analyze data needed for diagnosis at the request of, and for interpretation by, a licensed practitioner. They independently perform or assist licensed practitioners in completing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Radiologic Technologists prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policies.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The employee is accountable for satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with all organizational policies and procedures. Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
