The Boeing Company is seeking a DevSecOps Software Engineer (Experienced / Senior) to join the Space Launch System – Exploration Upper Stage (SLS EUS) Controller team located in Titusville, FL. This role supports the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

This position involves leading the team responsible for supporting the infrastructure, software, and systems at the Titusville Development Lab (TDL). The lab plays a key role in developing and qualifying the Stage Controller software for NASA's EUS sea-level testing during the Green Run event. Responsibilities include handling configuration change requests, executing test procedures, resolving problem reports, and ensuring system functionality through service support and integration expertise. The LabOps lead will coordinate activities related to software development, integration, and testing at TDL. Extended shifts and flexible work arrangements may be required to support test and integration activities.

Position Responsibilities

• Support and lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of efficient, innovative processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics to streamline the software lifecycle and enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of safety-critical software.
• Support and lead automation, development, monitoring, troubleshooting across software development, tooling, testing, deployment, configuration, and security controls.
• Analyze, plan, and execute mitigation strategies to prevent security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Establish an environment promoting quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain scalable, secure software engineering systems.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the listed location. The candidate must work onsite.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with user system access management and safeguarding information per network security requirements.
• 5+ years troubleshooting complex hardware/software systems.
• 5+ years scripting in Linux or Windows environments.
• 5+ years following a software development lifecycle (application development & support).
• 5+ years technical writing and process documentation experience.
• 2+ years leading or managing cross-functional or cross-business unit projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible).
• Knowledge of host environments, including processors, OS, and networks.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience deploying/administering Oracle Linux.
• Script development in bash, YAML, Python.
• Interpreting hardware/system drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
• Experience with system documentation, audits, and engineering logbooks.
• Strong technical, communication, customer-oriented, flexible, detail-oriented, and team skills.
