Job summary

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and test software while leading CI/CD efforts and DevSecOps practices for sponsor programs. Qualifications

• Strong Git and scripting language such as Python or Bash.
• Strong experience developing CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure Pipelines.
• Moderate experience with containerization using Docker/Podman.
• Some experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Some experience deploying bare metal or VMware vSphere ESXi virtual systems with hardening.

Responsibilities

• Perform software development, debugging, modification, enhancement, and documentation.
• Design, test, and develop computer software to meet program requirements.
• Develop and maintain kernel and user-level software and scripts.
• Contribute to research reports, presentations, white papers, and competitive proposals.
• Create and analyze network protocols.
• Develop infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines for various programs.
• Support automation across the development lifecycle and research programs.
