Job summary

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University seeks DevSecOps Research and Development Engineers to join the Digital Engineering team. Positions may be based in State College, PA or Reston, VA, with remote/hybrid options not guaranteed.

Responsibilities include designing secure automation, managing CI/CD pipelines, and presenting briefings. Applicants should have Linux administration experience, scripting skills, and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and logging tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science required.
• 2+ years of relevant R&D/DevSecOps experience.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and scripting fundamentals.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and open-source tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to maximize efficiency.
• Improve systems via updates and optimizations using various technologies.
• Present program overviews, proposals, and technical briefings at events.
• Coordinate with sponsors and team members to identify risks and design solutions.
