Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and troubleshoot containerized systems in air-gapped environments. You will develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, author Infrastructure-as-Code, and embed security across the delivery stack.

You will mentor a cloud-focused DevOps team, coach active-duty personnel, and lead labs and technical exchanges. You will prototype AI capabilities and apply AI/ML tools in classified settings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT, systems, or software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of DevOps or DevSecOps, building and operating production CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years of production Kubernetes administration including lifecycle and day-2 ops.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation (Ansible, Terraform).
• Linux admin experience (RHEL/Ubuntu), scripting (Python, Bash), cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience in regulated environments (DoD/IC), STIG, RMF or ATO; air-gapped constraints.

Responsibilities

As a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer, you will design, deploy, and troubleshoot containerized systems in air-gapped environments, develop and optimize production CI / CD pipelines, author and refine Infrastructure-as-Code, and embed security, observability, and reliability into every layer of the delivery stack.

You’ll serve as a technical anchor for a cloud-focused DevOps team supporting the DoW, combining hands-on engineering expertise with a deliberate mentorship mission. You will coach active-duty military personnel and government civilians, lead technical exchanges and labs, and strengthen the organization’s ability to operate critical systems independently and sustainably.

You will also help drive early-stage artifi cia l intelligence ( AI ) adoption, including prototyping, evaluating AI-enabled capabilities, and responsibly applying AI / ML tooling within classified constraints. Your work will shape how the organization leverages automation, analytics, and modern platform engineering practices in highly restricted environments.

You Have:

• 8+ years of experience with IT, systems, or sof tware engineering
• 5+ years of experience with DevOps or DevSecOps, building and operating production CI / CD pipelines
• 3+ years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters in production, including lifecycle management and day‑2 operations
• Experience developing Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation using Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with Linux administration, including RHEL or Ubuntu, scripting with Python and Bash, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience supporting regulated environments such as the DoD or IC, including STIG automation, RMF or ATO processes, and air‑gapped constraints
• Experience with basic AI prototyping, including LLM API use, RAG workflows, and automation assistants, and using AI-assisted engineering tools
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• DoD 8140 or 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as Security+ CE Certification

• Experience with DoD sof tware factory ecosystems, including Platform One, Big Bang, Iron Bank, and Kessel Run
