Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

A3 Consulting, LLC is seeking a DevSecOps Systems Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems, infrastructure, and services. If you are passionate about helping clients and want to be a key player in a fast-growing, innovative company, this role is for you.

In this job you will:

1. Define, analyze, and translate customer needs and constraints into technical requirements and solutions for the enterprise.
2. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot custom, open source, commercial-off-the-shelf, and government-off-the-shelf enterprise applications.
3. Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate services, tools, architectures, and technologies to support and optimize enterprise systems.
4. Implement, support, and maintain DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines.
5. Integrate security processes, tools, techniques, and methodologies into CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure application development and deployment.
6. Incorporate vulnerability detection and remediation into CI/CD pipelines.
7. Work closely with teams of developers, engineers, and administrators to optimize systems, resolve performance issues, and support application enhancements, including security controls throughout the SDLC.
8. Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes such as assessments, change requests, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations.
9. Install, configure, secure, and manage *NIX and Windows-based virtual machines.
10. Install and secure IT system software, troubleshoot, maintain, and configure network components, and implement system enhancements.
11. Implement, support, and maintain security monitoring tools and collaborate with incident response teams to remediate threats in real time.
12. Provide SME support across all SDLC phases.
13. Conduct vulnerability assessments, code scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
14. Optimize resource performance, utilization, and costs.
15. Evaluate systems and infrastructure for opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
16. Test and ensure the effectiveness of business continuity measures.
17. Create and maintain documentation for supported systems, configurations, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Relevant CE Certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, RedHat Certified SysAdmin).
• DoD 8570/8140 IATII or higher Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• 7+ years supporting DevOps/DevSecOps enterprise systems.
• 7+ years DoD system administration and engineering experience, preferably with Windows and Linux.
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with tools like Terraform, Ansible, JIRA/Confluence, GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, Burp, XRAY.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and industry trend awareness.
• Understanding of DoD policies, directives, and initiatives related to application development.
• Excellent coordination, organizational, and cross-functional skills.

Security Clearance:

• Top Secret

Salary Range:

• $160,000 - $180,000, commensurate with experience and achievement.
