Job summary

Rancher Government Solutions seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to deliver expert-level implementation for the Rancher portfolio within federal government programs. You will work directly with cleared agency clients, providing hands‑on engineering, architectural guidance, and secure automation across containerized workloads, CI/CD, and Kubernetes initiatives.

You will translate customer needs into technical tasks, develop reusable templates, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
3–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering in a secured environment.
1–2 years of Kubernetes administration, container runtimes, and Linux internals.
Requires TS//SCI Clearance w/ Full Scope Polygraph.

Responsibilities

Lead deployment, configuration, and integration of Rancher in complex gov cloud and on‑prem environments.
Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows for rapid delivery and repeatable clusters.
Troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, container networking, and security configurations.
Collaborate with customer technical teams to tailor Rancher solutions to mission requirements.
Advise customers on best practices for container orchestration, security hardening, and DevSecOps workflows.
Develop PoCs to demonstrate Rancher value and open‑source technologies to agencies.
