Job summary

Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) seeks a DevSecOps Engineer in Reston, VA to lead secure Kubernetes and container deployments for federal clients. You will design and implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC workflows, and hardened infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will collaborate with cleared agency teams, provide architectural guidance, and translate requirements into repeatable engineering milestones while maintaining compliance with government standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional experience in DevSecOps or a related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE with containerized workloads and secure environments.
• 1-2 years Kubernetes administration and Linux internals.
• Requires TS//SCI Clearance w/ Full Scope Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration, and integration of Rancher products in government cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, network, and security configurations.
• Provide guidance to customer teams and develop PoCs to show value.
