Job summary

IBM Consulting in Reston, VA is seeking a TS/SCI cleared DevOps Engineer to contribute to senior-level national security projects. You will join a team delivering cloud and automation solutions across DoD intelligence contexts, leveraging OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

You will work with federal clients to deploy secure, scalable infrastructure, automate pipelines, and monitor systems while advancing ML/AI & data visualization capabilities in a compliant, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance or immediate eligibility per DISS (SCI within last 2 years)
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in STEM fields
• 3+ years of platform engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, or environment management
• 3+ years of cloud/platform infra tech (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure)
• 3+ years of OS and scripting tools (Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu, Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• 1+ years of secure deployments, config management, monitoring, logging, and operational troubleshooting (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Master’s Degree, preferably in STEM fields
• Knowledge of CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), security-conscious deployments
• 1+ year deploying GraphAware Hume, Neo4j-backed apps, or investigative workflow platforms
• Experience with ML/AI/NLP

Responsibilities

• Provide senior National Security leaders with decision-worthy data and analysis to improve intelligence systems.
• Build mission-critical intelligence workflows to produce decision advantage for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW(I&S)).

Your Role And Responsibilities

Our team is committed to providing senior National Security leaders with decision-worthy data and analysis to improve the effectiveness of Intelligence systems supporting DoW Warfighters. The team is building mission-critical intelligence workflows to produce decision advantage for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security, OUSW(I&S). We are seeking a TS//SCI cleared DevOps Engineer with a variety of technical skills, a curiosity to learn and innovate, and general understanding of the defense intelligence enterprise. Our engineering team leverages graph technology and data visualization tools to wrangle, clean, analyze and display data in decision support tools for senior leaders within the Department of War.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance or show immediate eligibility according to DISS security database (SCI within last 2 years)


• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in STEM fields.


• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, infrastructure automation, or environment management.


• 3+ years of experience using cloud and platform infrastructure technologies (e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure)


• 3+ years of experience with operating systems and scripting tools (e.g. Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu, Bash, Python, PowerShell)


• 1+ years of experience supporting secure deployments, configuration management, monitoring, logging, and operational troubleshooting (e.g. Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Master’s Degree, preferably in STEM fields.


• Working knowledge of CI/CD (e.g. GitLap, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible), and security-conscious deployment practices is preferred


• 1+ year of experience with deploying GraphAware Hume, Neo4j-backed applications, or investigative workflow platforms.


• Experience and/or proficiency in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and/or Natural Language Processing
