Job summary

Innovim-Defense-Services, LLC is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support MDA on the IRES contract. The role involves designing, securing, and operating cloud and on‑prem infrastructure to enable reliable software delivery and mission‑critical services.

The candidate will lead with security across the SDLC, improve platform resiliency, establish repeatable deployment practices, and collaborate with software engineers, cybersecurity, and program leadership to deliver secure, maintainable platforms.

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years of general full-time work experience (may be reduced with advanced education).
• Must have 4+ years in systems/cloud/infrastructure/DevOps/DevSecOps or related discipline.
• Must have 6+ months in a management/leadership role.
• Must have production infra design/operation experience in AWS, Azure, GCP, private or hybrid clouds.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management tools.
• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain scalable, secure infrastructure across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Develop and manage IaC using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi or equivalent.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines with automated security controls and approvals.
• Integrate security into the software lifecycle including scanning and remediation workflows.
• Operate containerized platforms with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or similar.
• Establish observability through logging, metrics, dashboards and SLIs/SLAs.
• Enforce identity, secrets, encryption, least-privilege controls with cybersecurity stakeholders.
• Support availability, incident response, DR, backups, and continuity-of-operations.
• Automate routine ops to reduce drift and reduce MTTR.
• Define standards, runbooks and documentation; conduct design reviews.
