Overview
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build/release management, CI/CD practices, and process automation.
Contributions
Responsibilities include:
- Establishing development tools and infrastructure for automation
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
- Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and fixes
- Working with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended
- Supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code, including activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD
- Documenting the current environment, performing gap analysis, and producing artifacts with options and recommendations
- Leveraging virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems
- Acting as an individual contributor and mentoring junior team members
- Collaborating with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools
- Engineering and implementing solutions, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Presenting regular status updates and cross-training team members
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in an IT field or related experience as specified
- 3+ years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 3+ years experience with Git SCM providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- 3+ years experience with programming or scripting languages
- Active development experience in an Agile environment with DevSecOps practices
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure as code and orchestration
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI
- Experience integrating deployment with DevSecOps tools and orchestration
- Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines
Preferred:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, SAFe DevOps Certification
- Experience implementing automated testing frameworks like Selenium
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document and analyze environments
- Experience scripting in Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
- Experience with automation tools such as Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
