Job summary

Sierra Space Corporation is seeking a DevSecOps Software Engineer III to deploy, configure, and maintain software for space systems, spanning on-premises and cloud with air-gapped operations. The role emphasizes secure CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and robust observability in a highly compliant environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, strong Docker/Kubernetes skills, and a track record of securing the software supply chain.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or master's experience).
• 5+ years of related professional experience.
• Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software development environments.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments.
• Architect and maintain secure IaC using Terraform or Ansible.
• Develop observability solutions for proactive monitoring of space systems.
• Integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize processes and ensure high-quality, reproducible delivery.
