Job summary

Divergent Technologies Inc. in Torrance, CA, is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to embed security into the software delivery lifecycle.

You will own automation for secure delivery: hardened CI/CD pipelines, guardrails, and reproducibly provisioned cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. You will work with software, platform, and IT teams to balance risk and velocity, triage vulnerabilities, manage secrets, and build software supply chain controls while mentoring colleagues and driving

Qualifications

• U.S. Person per ITAR required.
• 5–10 years in DevOps or security-focused roles including CI/CD.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Azure or AWS IAM, networking, and logging services.
• Hands-on with modern CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins).
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform/Bicep/CloudFormation/Pulumi) and version control.
• Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes security and cluster access control.
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash/PowerShell.
• Experience with app security tooling (Black Duck, Rapid7).
• Strong grasp of security concepts including OAuth/OIDC/SAML and OWASP Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated security gates.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure as code across Azure and AWS.
• Harden container and Kubernetes workloads with policy checks and least privilege.
• Own secrets management and pipeline authentication.
• Triage and remediate vulnerability findings with engineering teams.
• Build and maintain software supply chain controls and SBOMs.
• Instrument security observability with detections and dashboards.
• Automate cloud security posture assessment and remediation.
• Support control mapping and audit evidence generation.
• Mentor engineers via reusable templates and golden paths.
