Job summary

INNOVIM is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency under the IRES contract. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes-based platforms across AKS, AWS ECS, and OpenShift, with DoD compliance.

The candidate will work on cloud and containerization engineering, architecture, and administration, including IaC tooling and security hardening. Relocation is not offered; DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• 6+ years of directly related experience in system integration focusing on DevSecOps or Kubernetes.
• 1+ years in a management or leadership role.
• Proficient in AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience with Coder Platform.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain complex cloud and containerization systems.
• Oversee migration and maintain new systems leveraging IaC (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Bash).
• Provide container hardening to meet DoD and MDA compliance standards.
• Develop scalable architectures for IaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, network engineers and stakeholders for seamless integration.
• Deploy and maintain cloud databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MySQL).
• Create and maintain comprehensive integration documentation.
