Job summary

LaunchTech is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining scalable cloud-native solutions across AKS, ECS, and OpenShift.

You will integrate security, IaC, and containerization while collaborating with government teams. The ideal candidate brings Kubernetes expertise, CI/CD mastery, and DoD clearance readiness, plus strong leadership and cross-team coordination in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must have 12 or more years of general (full-time) work experience.
• Must have 6 or more years of directly related experience in system integration with a focus on DevSecOps/Kubernetes.
• Must have 1 or more years of experience in a management or leadership role.
• Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience with Coder Platform.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+).
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain complex DevSecOps systems integrated with Government Infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable cloud-native solutions.
• Oversee migration and ongoing operations using Terraform, HELM, Ansible, and Bash.
• Provide container security hardening to meet DoD and MDA compliance standards.
• Develop scalable architectures for IaaS and PaaS across multiple clouds.
• Incorporate security, privacy, and governance into cloud architectures and processes.
• Evaluate and select cloud solutions; design controls and audit-friendly processes.
• Stay current with cloud tech and best practices; document integration processes.
