Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Florida. The role focuses on hands-on development and maintenance of cloud-based applications and services, bridging software development and IT operations.

You will implement and manage IaC using Terraform and Packer, architect CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure secure software delivery. A strong emphasis on GitLab, cloud security, and regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) required; 2+ years of experience in DevOps or related field preferred.
• Strong experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• US Citizenship and active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Source Code Management: Use GitLab to architect, deploy, and maintain applications and infrastructure with high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and implement automated infrastructure using Terraform and Packer for reproducible deployments.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and reduce release cycles.
• Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity to embed security into the DevOps lifecycle, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.

Source Code Management:

Utilize Gitlab to architect, deploy, and maintain software applications and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform and Packer, promoting reproducible, version‑controlled infrastructure deployments.

CI/CD Pipeline Development:

Build and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline code deployment and reduce release cycles.

Security & Compliance:

Collaborate with cybersecurity team to embed best practices into the DevOps lifecycle, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.
