Job summary

Corvid Technologies LLC is seeking a software engineer to provide material support on DevSecOps for a major missile defense program. The role is onsite with the team, focusing on secure, automated software releases and modern containerized workloads in Kubernetes.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure, integrate security gates, and collaborate with cyber and test teams to improve observability and incident response.

Qualifications

• Requires US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM and 3+ years in DevOps/SRE or similar role.
• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment, troubleshooting, and security.
• Azure experience: compute, networking, ID/access resources.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and containers (prefer GitLab).
• Strong scripting skills (Python or Bash).
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps pipelines and Kubernetes RBAC.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and image scanning tools.
• Azure or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
• Experience in air-gapped or restricted environments is preferred.

Job description

Corvid's Missile Defense Products team is looking to add a software engineer providing material support on DevSecOps for a large missile defense program. The position will work onsite with the technical team developing new versions of software applications critical to functionality of the systems, with a focus on security and automation. Candidates should enjoy working on technical challenges as well as collaborating across disciplines and with a diverse team.

Tasking will include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including Helm/manifest management and integrating cluster deployments into GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Build and support CI/CD and infrastructure automation in Azure environments
• Work closely with cyber team to incorporate security gates into workflows
• Support integration with testing frameworks and compliance scans, improving observability and incident response processes
• Work with Docker and Podman for containerized solutions

Requirements:

• Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
• Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or similar STEM field) and at least 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience (deploying, troubleshooting, and securing workloads, not just using a cluster someone else built)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including deploying and managing compute, networking, and identity/access resources
• Demonstrated experience with modern CI/CD tools (preferably GitLab) and containers
• Strong scripting skills are required (preference for Python or Bash)
• Understanding of security best practices in DevOps pipelines, including Kubernetes security (RBAC, network policies, image scanning)
• Experience in Azure Secret Cloud or other restricted or air-gapped environment is preferred
• Static analysis experience (Fortify or SonarQube); Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Packer, Terraform, Ansible); and Azure or Kubernetes certifications (CKA, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus
