Job summary

Corvid Technologies in Huntsville, AL seeks a seasoned software engineer for defense-focused development in C++, Java, and Ada. You will drive hands-on coding, tackle complex requirements, and champion secure, DevSecOps practices to reliably deploy robust software into mission systems.

The role requires US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance, with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience. Advanced degrees may substitute for experience.

Job description

What you'll do:

• Innovate & Code: Drive extensive, hands-on software development efforts utilizing C++, Java, and Ada.
• Solve Complex Problems: Develop, present, and execute complex technical work requirements related to software engineering.
• Secure the Mission: Champion DevSecOps practices to guarantee that robust, highly secure, and stable software is successfully deployed into the defense system.

Requirements:

• Candidate must be a US Citizen and be eligible to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in related STEM discipline and at least 5 years of relevant development experience (Advanced Degrees may substitute for experience)
• Demonstrated experience developing one or more of the following: C++, Ada, and Java

Preferred qualifications:

• An Advanced degree in Physics or Mathematics, or a strong foundation in either discipline
• Proven experience working with Linux environments, scripting, and/or system operations
• Experience using MATLAB and Python for rigorous development and analytical tasks
• DevSecOps tools and methods (Jenkins, Ansible, Git/Gitlab) of continuous integration/continuous delivery and deployment (CI/CD) automation
