Job summary

Kernel is seeking a DevRel Engineer in San Francisco to be the public voice for developers and a hands-on builder of tools and demos. You will split time between coding, creating tutorials, and helping developers succeed with Kernel’s browser infrastructure.

You’ll engage with the community, contribute to documentation and a technical blog, and help shape how builders learn to adopt Kernel. If you enjoy shipping practical demos and teaching others, this role fits you.

Qualifications

Hands-on builder with LLMs and agents.
Strong technical foundation in software engineering or applied AI.
Ability to build code samples, demos, and lightweight apps.
Empathy for developers and ability to speak their language.
Clear writing and presentation communication skills.
Curiosity and a high level of ownership to build useful tools.

Responsibilities

Build OSS tools, libraries, and integrations to improve developer experience.
Create high-quality tutorials, guides, and demos demonstrating Kernel capabilities.
Iterate on developer documentation as a first-class product surface.
Engage with the community on GitHub/Slack/Discord/Twitter and at events.
Contribute to Kernel’s technical blog to educate and inspire adoption.
