Job summary

Vercel is hiring a DevRel Engineer to work inside product teams building agentic infrastructure: AI Gateway, Sandbox, and related primitives. You’ll collaborate with product and engineering, ship early demos, and showcase what’s possible to developers worldwide.

You will report to the Head of AI Infrastructure and may be located anywhere. The role includes in-office anchor days if near SF, NY, London, or Berlin, with location-specific details available from recruiting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in engineering, DevRel, or DX roles with software you can point to.
• Built and shipped AI applications or agents; knowledge of tool calling, model routing, sandboxed code execution.
• Strong TypeScript; comfortable in Next.js and AI SDK ecosystem.
• Public body of work: talks, posts, open source, or videos.
• Able to turn a half-finished API into a working demo with clear explanation, often quickly.
• Able to influence a product roadmap with developer feedback.

Responsibilities

• Build agents and applications on AI Gateway and Sandbox before they ship, and create demos and templates developers clone.
• Teach developers how to build with agentic infrastructure through writing, talks, videos, and live coding.
• Join planning meetings with PMs and engineers to address rough edges before launch.
• Own launch assets: example repos, launch demos, docs contributions, and first-line answers to questions from developers.
• Gather feedback on how developers use the ecosystem and identify gaps to address.
