We are currently seeking a DevOps Technical Coach/SME- US Citizen to join our team in Newport News (REMOTE), Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

As a DevOps Technical Coach, you will work with individuals and teams of developers to improve their technical practices and achieve their goals. You will facilitate, mentor, and teach teams to help them implement practices such as test-driven development, refactoring, trunk-based development, and more. If you are motivated to help others succeed while continuously improving, learning new practices, and advancing DevOps implementations, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's DegreeinComputer Science, Information Technology, related field orequivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 11years of experience with information technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with DevOps including test-driven development, unit testing, trunk-based development, and source control tooling configuration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with one of the following programming languages (ABAP, C#, JavaScript, Java, Perl, C++)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with a second programming language
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with object oriented programming
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with agile development
  • Minimum 2years of experience with pair programming, mob programming, or related ensemble programming practices
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to clear background check prior to start

    • Kanban
    • Git source control
    • Modern JavaScript frameworks (Node, ReactJS)
    • Automated acceptance testing
    • Continuous delivery
    • SOLID principles of object-oriented class design
  • Ability to identify and apply appropriate software design patterns
  • Ability to work with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed strategy and direction
  • Good communicator regarding DevOps capabilities, benefits, and culture
  • Willing to stretch in leadership development, mentorship, project management, and technical aptitude
  • Motivated to continuously improve, learn new practices, to explore new technologies to share with others
  • Desire to help others succeed

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is [$119,678 - $277,031]. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, lifeand AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
