Scrum Master / Agile Coach with Jira Expertise

Role: Scrum Master / Agile Coach with Jira Expertise

Location: Remote - USA/Canada

VISA: US Citizen or GC Holders only at this time

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Scrum Master who can also provide Jira expertise and Agile coaching. This role will be instrumental in establishing agile delivery practices during the startup phase of a new initiative and will help enable internal resources to take over once a sustainable process is in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more teams during the initial startup phase.
• Configure and optimize Jira to support Agile workflows, sprint planning, and reporting.
• Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.).
• Identify and remove blockers to the team’s progress.
• Coach and mentor internal team members on Agile best practices and Jira usage.
• Support and guide the team through the full sprint lifecycle.
• Create documentation and lightweight training to hand over responsibilities post-startup phase.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
• Deep familiarity with Jira configuration, workflows, dashboards, and reports.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe is a plus).
• Experience coaching non-technical or less Agile-mature teams.
• Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a startup or early-phase project environment.
• Background in project management or technical delivery.
• Ability to analyze metrics and suggest process improvements.
• Atlassian Certifications.
