Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking an experienced DevOps/Networking specialist to build and maintain infrastructure for software development, deployment, and release. You will enhance automation, security, and reliability across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role emphasizes DNS, DHCP, IPAM expertise, UNIX/Linux, and scripting with REST APIs, Ansible, and Terraform, with responsibilities spanning production support and large‑scale deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field required.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI).
• Experience with REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform, and automation.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Imbibe DevOps methodology across the product lifecycle for software components.
• Accelerate software releases while ensuring security and reducing failed releases.
• Improve cycle speed with CI/CD and continuous feedback across environments.
• Assess systems and processes; identify and implement improvements.
• Utilize platform tools and infrastructure to support DevOps practices.

• Employees in this job function are responsible for building, testing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools for software/ code development, deployment and release.

Key Responsibilities

• Imbibe DevOps methodology and practices across the product lifecycle for various software components
• Accelerate software releases while ensuring security and mitigating the risk of failed/ recalled software releases
• Ensure increase in cycle speed between feedback from end-user to an updated software by leveraging continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous feedback
• Assess current systems and processes, and identify and implement ways to improve them
• Utilize platform and enterprise tools and infrastructure to facilitate DevOps methodology and approach
• Assist code/ software releases and deployments in various environments like production, testing, sandbox etc.
• Identify and spearhead creation of automation and innovation opportunities throughout the software product This role combines DevOps engineering with network infrastructure expertise. It builds and maintains tools and systems that automate software development, testing, deployment, and release—improving delivery speed while protecting security and reliability.
• Have and maintain the software development experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
• Maintain proficiency in any front-end languages and libraries such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and jQuery.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and core networking fundamentals
• Strong experience in scripting and automation for network operations
• Proven ability to handle complex troubleshooting, migrations, and large-scale deployments Deploy, configure, and maintain DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) systems for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitor network performance, fix IP conflicts, resolve DHCP lease failures, and solve DNS issues.
• Use REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform to automate workflows and integrate IPAM with IT Service Management (ITSM) or cloud platforms.
• Leverage AI for DNS Incident & Change automation.

Experience Preferred

• Participation in an on-call rotation is required. Candidates must be flexible to work split shifts as business needs demand.
• Strong commitment to supporting critical infrastructure and incident response activities outside of standard business hours is expected.
• Applying CI/CD and continuous feedback practices, improving processes, supporting releases across environments, and identifying automation opportunities.
• The role also requires strong software development and scripting skills, Unix/Linux experience, and deep networking knowledge—especially DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI)—to deploy and operate cloud and on-premises systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage migrations and large-scale deployments.
• Automation tools such as REST APIs, Ansible, and Terraform are used to integrate network workflows with ITSM and cloud platforms, with AI applied to DNS incident and change automation.
