Job summary

Allegion Canada Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Intern - DevOps to join our Global Software Solutions team in Carmel, IN or Golden, CO.

The role provides hands-on exposure to Azure, CI/CD, and automation while you’re mentored by experienced DevOps engineers in an Agile setting. You will deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-based applications, learning PowerShell, Terraform, and scripting while collaborating with IT, Security, and Product Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Required)
• Coursework or project experience with a scripting or programming language such as PowerShell, Python, or Unix shell scripting (Required)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Required)
• Self‑motivated, curious, and comfortable working in a team environment (Required)
• Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts; Microsoft Azure preferred (Preferred)
• Basic understanding of version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD concepts (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support development teams in deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting application releases across our Azure environments
• Help build and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Terraform
• Assist in monitoring uptime, performance, and other operational metrics, and help drive open issues to resolution
• Partner with IT, Information Security, and Product Engineering teams on assigned projects
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to team DevOps initiatives
• Explore new cloud technologies alongside your mentor and share what you learn with the team
