Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Software Engineering Intern - DevOps to join the Global Software Solutions team in Carmel, IN or Golden, CO. You will learn to deploy, secure, and monitor cloud-based applications and infrastructure, working with experienced DevOps engineers in an Agile environment, mentored throughout the internship.

You will gain exposure to Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling, while contributing to deployment, monitoring, and automation tasks in a hands-on setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Required).
• Coursework or project experience with a scripting or programming language such as PowerShell, Python, or Unix shell scripting (Required).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Required).
• Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in a team environment (Required).

Responsibilities

• Support development teams in deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting application releases across our Azure environments.
• Help build and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Terraform.
• Assist in monitoring uptime, performance, and other operational metrics, and help drive open issues to resolution.
• Partner with IT, Information Security, and Product Engineering teams on assigned projects.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to team DevOps initiatives.
• Explore new cloud technologies alongside your mentor and share what you learn with the team.
