Job summary

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Software Engineer to join a fast‑moving team supporting the DOMEX Technology Platform for the DIA. The role is mainly on‑site in Bethesda, MD with a flexible schedule and occasional remote work.

You will design, deploy, and maintain a containerized microservices stack, enhance CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver mission‑critical capabilities. Requires 8+ years of experience and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of relevant experience? (as stated in HTML)
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Leidos is looking for our next TS/SCI‑cleared DevOps Software Engineer to join a high‑energy team building and deploying a cutting‑edge technology stack in support of the DIA‑NMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role is part of a 10‑year program supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort, where you’ll contribute to mission‑critical capabilities alongside a collaborative, innovative, and growth‑oriented team. While the majority of work is performed on‑site at our customer location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and occasional opportunities for remote work.

What You’ll Do

• As a DevOps Software Engineer, you’ll help design, deploy, and maintain a full‑stack, containerized microservices architecture. You’ll also support systems administration, installation, configuration, and the broader adoption of DevOps best practices across cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big‑data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities

What You Bring

You’re enthusiastic, collaborative, and comfortable working with teammates across a range of technical backgrounds. You also meet the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph; Strong Linux proficiency; Hands‑on experience with containers and Kubernetes; Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab; Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana; Demonstrated success working in cross‑functional engineering environments.
