Job summary
Vectrus, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer with a DevOps focus to support a government customer. You will automate and optimize the customer’s virtual environments, design tools for Linux and Windows, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable, scalable operations.
The role emphasizes Python development, CI/CD in a fast-paced setting, and expertise in network automation. A TS/SCI style mindset and security awareness are key.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with 11+ years' relevant experience.
- Hands-on Python programming with 5–7 years' experience and 2+ years in network automation.
- Experience in CI/CD/DevOps/Agile fast-paced environments.
- Experience with Ansible and Cisco NSO for network automation.
- Experience with NetBox for IP address management.
- Development of automated testing scripts with PyATS or similar and Jenkins.
- Experience in Yang data models and familiarity with Cisco IOS/IOS-XR/NX-OS/Junos.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop tools for Linux, Windows, and other platforms.
- Develop and maintain software to support automation and client needs.
- Coordinate with analysts and engineers on performance and interfaces.
- Create unit and functional tests; document revisions and usage.
- Support operations, troubleshoot, and optimize systems in production.
