Job summary

Greenheck Group is seeking a DevOps & Security Engineer to strengthen Azure-based infrastructure, security controls, and cloud-native tooling. You will design secure CI/CD pipelines, collaborate across teams, and apply vulnerability management with Wiz across Azure, containers, and applications.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of relevant experience, a CS/CE degree, strong Linux/Windows skills, and hands-on Azure services (AKS, Functions, Security Center) plus Terraform, Ansible, and ARM

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent years of job experience.
• Strong expertise in Windows and Linux/Unix systems with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, incl. AKS, Functions, and Security Center.
• Proven experience with Wiz for cloud security posture management, vulnerability scanning, and risk mitigation.
• Automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates.
• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes with security best practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Bamboo, and Git.
• Familiarity with CIS/NIST and ISO SOC2 compliance.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Bamboo to automate deployments with security integrated.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure cloud infrastructure and applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Leverage Wiz to continuously monitor, identify, and address vulnerabilities across cloud environments, containers, and applications.
• Integrate security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines, including automated security scans, vulnerability management, and compliance checks.
• Ensure infrastructure, applications, and data comply with industry standards and security best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, including secure access management and protection of sensitive data.
• Perform regular security audits, conduct threat assessments, and lead incident response efforts to identify and mitigate security risks proactively.

The DevOps & Security Engineer is responsible for enhancing the company’s Azure-based infrastructure and security practices. Possess a strong background in both DevOps and security, with hands‑on experience in leveraging Azure and Wiz to build secure, scalable, and high‑performance systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Atlassian Bamboo to automate deployments while ensuring security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (development, operations, and security) to design and deploy secure cloud infrastructure and applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Leverage Wiz to continuously monitor, identify, and address vulnerabilities across cloud environments, containers, and applications.
• Integrate security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines, including automated security scans, vulnerability management, and compliance checks to reduce risks.
• Ensure that infrastructure, applications, and data comply with industry standards and security best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, including secure access management and the protection of sensitive data.
• Perform regular security audits, conduct threat assessments, and lead incident response efforts to identify and mitigate security risks proactively.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience required.
• 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent years of job experience required.
• Strong expertise in Windows and Linux/Unix systems with proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell required.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Security Center required.
• Proven experience with Wiz for cloud security posture management, vulnerability scanning, and risk mitigation required.
• Expertise in automating infrastructure management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates required.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on implementing security best practices for containerized environments required.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian Bamboo, and Git required.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and infrastructure‑as‑code principles and tools required.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD), role‑based access control (RBAC), and identity management.
• Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST) and compliance regulations (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, SOC2).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Sentinel, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk).
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability management platforms and integrating security testing into DevOps workflows.

Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program. The starting base pay range for this position is $117,249-$144,837 and may vary based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
