Position Summary

As DevOps QA Engineer, at CVS Health, you will be responsible for effective testing of infrastructure solutions and develop self-service. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and infrastructure architects, to design, implement, test and maintain automated workflows and processes.

1. Build automation to support enforcement of best practices, policies, and guidelines for ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements

2. Monitor infrastructure usage, analyze trends, and provide automation to help optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.

3.Test and maintain self-service automation frameworks and platforms to enable easy and efficient provisioning of resources. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and reducing manual interventions.
4. Create and maintain templates, blueprints, and automation scripts for provisioning infrastructure, applications, and services. Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing automation tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and agility.
5. Work closely with development teams to integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in automation.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology
  • 3+ years in testing the infrastructure as code (IAC) or other similar technologies to deploy the microservice application infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience, creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines leveraging re-usable code.
  • 2+ years of standing up/developing backend Applications.
  • 5+ End to End DevOps hands-on knowledge, test automation with tools like GitHub, ADOPS, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • 5+ years of application development and/or testing in Agile methodology.
  • 5+ years using Linux and windows environments.
  • 5+ hands on SQL Skills using SSMS with a proficiency in reading and understanding the flow of a large/ complicated Stored Procedure. OLAP / analytical system experience required (Data Warehouse / Data Lake)
  • 2+ years in Developing automation solutions using Database technologies - SSMS, SSIS, ETL


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills and ability to help/guide team in resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other teams to resolve dependencies and ensure transparency.
  • Understanding of Microservice patterns & concepts and troubleshooting issues along with testing and communicating the defects/remediating the defects and security vulnerabilities with Continuous Integration and automated testing strategies and tools
  • Able to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team.
  • Multiple years demonstrated understanding of governance frameworks, security controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Multiple years' experience with configuration management and automation tools
  • Multiples years' familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide efficient solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus especially using HL7 data and various EDI File formats.
  • Understanding of hyperscaler services and virtualization technologies ie aws, azure, vmware

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $206,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
