Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic DevOps Practice Lead to lead and expand our DevOps practice across multiple client engagements and internal transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for defining DevOps strategy, driving delivery excellence, building high-performing teams, developing innovative solutions, and enabling enterprise-scale cloud and DevOps transformations. This leadership role will drive enterprise modernization initiatives by combining Cloud, Automation, DevSecOps, AI/ML Operations (MLOps), and Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities to accelerate software delivery, operational efficiency, and business innovation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in DevOps and Cloud Engineering along with emerging capabilities in AI-assisted software delivery, AIOps, MLOps, and GenAI-powered engineering productivity solutions. The candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, client engagement, business development, and organizational transformation experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the overall DevOps practice vision, roadmap, and growth strategy.
  • Build scalable DevOps service offerings, accelerators, frameworks, and reusable assets.
  • Establish enterprise DevOps standards, governance models, and best practices.
  • Drive innovation across CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, and DevSecOps capabilities.
  • Lead adoption of AI-driven engineering and operational capabilities across the SDLC.
  • Lead DevOps transformation initiatives for clients and internal teams.
Client Engagement & Delivery
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on DevOps strategy, cloud adoption, automation, and operational transformation.
  • Lead DevOps assessments, maturity evaluations, workshops, and roadmap development engagements.
  • Drive successful delivery of enterprise transformation programs involving DevOps automation, and AI adoption.
  • Oversee successful delivery of DevOps programs across multiple accounts and portfolios.
  • Ensure delivery quality, operational excellence, SLA adherence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage executive stakeholder communication and strategic planning discussions.
  • Create, Track and Deliver DevSecOps and Infra metrics.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing DevOps, MLOps and Cloud teams.
  • Define career paths, competency models, training plans, and certification strategies for AI-enabled engineering practices.
  • Foster a culture of automation, collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Support hiring, workforce planning, onboarding, and resource management activities.
  • Guide enterprise adoption of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, containerization, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Drive automation initiatives across build, release, deployment, testing, infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and operations.
  • Innovate and infuse GenAI solutions to the automation initiatives.
  • Lead implementation of scalable and secure DevOps platforms using tools such as:
  • Jenkins
  • GitHub Actions
  • Terraform
  • Docker
  • Ansible
  • Partner with Security teams to integrate DevSecOps and compliance automation practices. Integrate security and compliance into automated CI/CD pipelines.
Business Growth & Innovation
  • Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, estimations, proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations.
  • Develop innovative offerings and AI-enabled accelerators to improve delivery efficiency and market differentiation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity using AI and automation.
  • Contribute to strategic partnerships, alliances, and technology evaluations.
Operational Excellence
  • Define KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and governance processes for DevOps operations.
  • Improve deployment frequency, release quality, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish observability, incident management, and SRE best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational maturity programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, and Software Delivery.
  • 10+ years in leadership or practice management roles.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • CI/CD
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • DevSecOps
  • Experience implementing AI/ML or Generative AI solutions within engineering or operational workflows.
  • Experience leading large-scale DevOps transformation programs.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps, and SRE methodologies.
  • Experience managing global teams and delivering enterprise client engagements.
  • Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, estimations, proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of Agile, SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience with:
  • GPT
  • Certifications such as:
  • Kubernetes Certifications (CKA/CKS)
  • ITIL
  • Terraform Associate
  • DevOps Certifications
  • AI/ML certifications
  • Experience in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Banking, Telecom, Government, or DoD.
  • Experience with Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
