Detailed Job Description

As a DevOps / Linux Administrator supporting VY Systems in Alpharetta, GA, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of enterprise Linux infrastructure, automated build and release pipelines, configuration management, and system monitoring across mission-critical enterprise environments. Your day-to-day responsibilities include provisioning, hardening, and maintaining enterprise Linux servers (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS), building, optimizing, and troubleshooting automated CI/CD deployment pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps, authoring robust scripting automation in Bash and Python, implementing rigorous system security baselines, access controls, and patch management workflows, collaborating closely with cross-functional software engineering, QA, and cloud operations squads in Agile sprint cycles, conducting rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) and rapid incident remediation for server anomalies, preparing comprehensive technical documentation of server configurations, deployment workflows, and operational runbooks, and you will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills to resolve complex hardware, OS, and pipeline bottlenecks under strict service level agreements. Furthermore, you will manage application requirements ensuring strict compliance with local candidate presence in Alpharetta, GA and C2C terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain robust enterprise Linux servers, virtual machines, and cloud compute instances.
• Design, build, optimize, and troubleshoot automated CI/CD deployment pipelines for seamless software release management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional experience in Linux systems administration, DevOps engineering, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong, demonstrable hands-on professional expertise in enterprise Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and shell scripting.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in CI/CD pipeline implementation, version control (Git), and build automation.
• Deep practical experience in server hardening, performance tuning, network troubleshooting, and security compliance.
