Salary: USD140000 - USD170000 per annum

Our client is seeking a seasoned DevOps Lead to join their expanding team, enhancing the development of a cloud-based, API-driven platform. They're a well-funded, internationally-known company with exciting plans to build a DevOps team in the next year, and looking for someone to lead the DevOps function for a greenfield project.

Role Overview: The DevOps Lead will manage a small team of DevOps Engineers, oversee daily activities, resolve roadblocks, and lead planning sessions, as well as contribute hands-on to technically complex tasks. This role involves close collaboration with development and technology teams and includes hands-on technical design and development tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the DevOps team.
• Act as the technical subject matter expert for DevOps.
• Design DevOps processes and procedures aligned with business goals.
• Contribute to platform design decisions across teams.
• Collaborate with the Product team to meet business objectives.
• Adhere to and improve technical, process, and quality standards.
• Participate in staffing decisions, including interviews and hiring.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Promote a security-first mindset within the team.
• Proactively take ownership of problems and solutions.
• Occasionally travel for strategy meetings (several times per year).
• Collaborate with development teams.
• Manage sprints for the DevOps team.
• Assist team members with projects as needed.
• Troubleshoot Azure issues with IT team members.
• Design and create build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Create infrastructure as code deployments using Azure ARM, Bicep templates, and PowerShell scripts.
• Manage and troubleshoot existing pipelines, build agents, servers, and Azure PaaS resources.
• Oversee the Azure DevOps organization and projects.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of DevOps experience, with at least a few years of people management experience.
• Experience with large software development projects and agile teams.
• Availability to work 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Eastern Time remotely.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours requests.
