Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field is required.
• US citizenship with active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
• Security+ certification is required.
• Experience implementing security within CI/CD pipelines is expected.
• Experience with writing and managing pipeline configurations is essential.
• Experience with automation of build, test, and deployment workflows is needed.

Responsibilities

• Support DevOps initiatives by developing and implementing security within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
• Write and manage pipeline configurations for automated workflows.
• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Develop and implement security assessment automation tools to support DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analysis on new and existing software.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Implement automated security and compliance checks in CI/CD pipelines.
• Secure CI/CD pipelines and software supply chains.
• Assist in developing security training for technical staff.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise in CI/CD automation to join our System Administration Support Team in support of our WPAFB customer. In this role, you will work closely with the system administrators, software developers, platform engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to design, build, and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines. The candidate will be responsible for enhancing automation, improving deployment efficiency, and ensuring the security and reliability of software releases. • Certified GitLab CI/CD Specialist or similar DevOps-related certification
• Containerization experience using Docker, Podman, CRI-O, or similar
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack
• Experience with Zero Trust architectures, SELinux, or hardened Linux distributions
• Familiarity with ICAM (identity, credential, and access management) systems and concepts such as user and service account authentication
• Experience with OpenTelemetry for logging, metrics, and tracing
• Develop and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
