Red Alpha is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Maryland to develop and maintain complex IaC solutions that support scalable, reliable environments across development and production systems. You will implement automated provisioning and configuration management to enable consistent deployments and improve system stability.

The role requires 3+ years of DevOps experience, strong Linux, Bash/Python scripting, and expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, CircleCI).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of DevOps experience.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field (4 additional years experience may be considered in lieu).
• Proficient with Linux CLI and Linux tools.
• Proficient in Bash/Python to automate provisioning.
• Experience with release management best practices and CI/CD.
• Experience managing builds/releases with multiple languages.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with IaC and automation tools including Ansible.
• Experience with Dev/Sec/Ops and FOSS toolchains.
• Experience with Docker/Containers and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IaC solutions supporting scalable, reliable environments across development and production systems.
• Implement automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management processes.
• Improve deployment workflows, reduce manual processes, and ensure builds/releases are secure and reliable.
