Job summary

Clear Ridge Defense is seeking a TS/SCI cleared DevOps Engineer to join our Fort Meade, MD team. The role emphasizes deploying and managing production systems with Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Helm, and Flux, while automating workflows in Python and Bash.

The candidate should have a hybrid background across DevOps, cybersecurity, sysadmin, software development, and database management, with strong PostgreSQL/SQL skills and networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Security+ certification or JCAC equivalent.
• Hybrid background across DevOps, cybersecurity, system administration, software development and database management.
• Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python).
• Understanding of SQL/PostgreSQL and database troubleshooting.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals including pod-level ingress/egress and DNS.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage production software using Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Helm, and Flux.
• Automate workflows using Bash, Python and related scripting tools.
• Become a subject matter expert in the full platform/application stack, including release processes, tooling, and data dependencies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL) as part of the platform stack.
