Job summary

Spry is recruiting a junior DevOps Engineer to support the development and deployment of software applications in Quantico, VA. The position emphasizes integration of third-party tools, regular updates, and ensuring performance meets business needs.

The candidate will configure Linux-based servers, manage cloud resources (AWS/Azure/OpenStack), and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and API maintenance in a government-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Top Secret (TS) security clearance required.
• One year of experience or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with SAFe, Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience in multisystem environments (e.g., FBINET, UNET, LabAPP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Deploys and configures services using IaaS providers (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud/OpenStack).
• Configures and manages Linux-based servers for a dynamic website.
• Debugs cluster-based architectures; uses scripting to solve problems.
• Installs and manages open-source monitoring tools.
• Configures management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).
• Architects CI/CD pipelines and continuous monitoring.
• Uses containerization tech (LXC, Docker).
• Maintains third-party software and APIs for compatibility and security.
• Applies updates and coordinates with vendors.
• Maintains documentation for all software and APIs.
• Implements CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, monitoring.
• Conducts code reviews and secure coding practices.
• Advises government personnel on incremental improvements.
• Stays current with emerging tech and practices.
• Designs and sustains ETL processing and pipelines; validates data.
• Ensures SDLC compliance with DOJ/FBI standards.
