Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer (SME) to support mission-critical systems. You will work with development teams to deploy, operate, and optimize IC enterprise products in an Agile SAFe environment.

You will automate deployments, monitor systems, and build tools for deployment and operations across dev, test, and production environments. You will collaborate with project teams to integrate products into the DevOps environment, set up CI/CD, and codify best practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Job description

Job Summary

DevOps Engineer (SME) role provides mission-critical system support to our customer. You will closely work with the Development team as well as other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop, and support IC enterprise products – legacy and new products – in an Agile SAFe environment. The role will also work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate systems, automate and streamline operations and processes; build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations; and troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supports software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and operational availability of production systems.
• Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating and maintaining all components that comprise the DevOps environment.
• Defining enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices.
• Codifying DevOps best practices across the enterprise.
• Developing and maintaining scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks.
• Scripting and maintaining build environments.
• Working with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience setting up one or more of the following tools: GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with two or more of the following tools: GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
• Demonstrated experience working within a software development team and supporting developers and developer activities.
• Master’s with 15 or more years of prior relevant work experience. Will consider additional work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline.
• AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or Sys Ops Administrator).
• AWS Professional Certification (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
• Demonstrated experience in container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR.
• Demonstrated experience with languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell scripting.
• Demonstrated experience with Ansible, or Puppet.

Compensation

Pay Range: $154,050.00 - $278,475.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
