Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll design, implement, and refine the CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and monitoring systems that power SaaS products. You'll partner closely with engineering teams to create a seamless, reliable infrastructure that supports rapid development while ensuring uptime, security, and performance. Your work will be critical to scaling our platform as we grow and innovate within the multifamily tech space.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize scalable, reliable infrastructure in AWS (ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, etc.)
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) to automate application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Implement best practices in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Partner with software engineering teams to streamline development workflow and ensure production readiness.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Strengthen security postures through automation, IAM policies, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Conduct cost optimization initiatives to manage cloud spend effectively as it grows.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem processes for production outages or disruptions.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role supporting cloud-based SaaS applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform strongly preferred).
• Proven experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Deep understanding of system observability-monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Proficient with cloud security best practices and threat modeling.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience in a fast-paced SaaS or high-growth technology environment.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
