The Field Engineer solves technical problems and supports Clear Demand software in the field, working directly with customers throughout the entire lifecycle—from pre-sales demos to implementation and ongoing support. This role involves significant collaboration with Sales and Professional Services teams, despite being an engineering position within the technology organization.
This role involves configuring, monitoring, and maintaining data integration pipelines, assisting sales and services teams with pre-sales demos and customer onboarding, and supporting product development through data pipeline enhancements. The position also requires responding to alerts and managing tickets related to data integration and infrastructure services. Required skills are essential, with additional skills being a plus.
Required skills include 5+ years of experience with data integration, strong SQL, Linux/Unix proficiency, scripting in Python/Bash/AWK/Perl, and knowledge of data formats like CSV, JSON, and XML. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and manage multiple priorities. Additional preferred skills include experience with Windows admin, software engineering, data science, database admin (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server), retail pricing systems, and security best practices.
