Job summary

Valuetainment is seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliability and scalability of systems. You will work with software developers, system operators, and IT staff to oversee releases and CI/CD practices.

The role emphasizes infrastructure as code with Terraform/Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), and strong scripting and monitoring capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications preferred (AWS DevOps, CKAD, etc.).
• Experience with microservices and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams for reliable releases.
• Monitor performance and optimize reliability and scalability.

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing the infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. He/She works closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to oversee code releases and deployments, streamline operations, and implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). The DevOps Engineer has a strong background in software engineering, system administration, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development process
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable software releases
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize system reliability and scalability
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Ensure security best practices are followed and integrated into the DevOps processes
• Conduct root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive measures
• Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure optimal resource utilization
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and deployment processes
• Participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production systems

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)

• Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools

Compensation: Salary + Performance-Based Bonus, Comprehensive Benefits Package. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
