Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Level 6) to join the Space Sector. The role emphasizes secure containerized software in cloud environments, Kubernetes cluster management, and CI/CD pipelines with security gates.

You will collaborate with software, systems, and security engineers to define secure deployment patterns. Applicants should have extensive DevSecOps experience, cloud deployment skills (AWS/Azure/GCP), and the ability to obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

Active SCI at time of application or TS with ability to obtain SCI before start.
Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining containerized applications (Docker).
Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Experience building software for cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience with CI/CD scripts (Jenkins, GitLab).
Linux administration and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure containerized software for cloud deployments.
Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including networking and security.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security gates.
Perform security assessments and drive remediation for containerized apps and clouds.
Develop infrastructure as code for repeatable, auditable deployments.
Collaborate with engineers to define secure architectures and deployment patterns.
Document designs, controls, and procedures for cloud platforms.
