Job summary

Constellation Technologies seeks a senior systems/DevOps engineer with TS/SCI clearance to lead architecture and deployment across Linux and Windows environments. You will integrate Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployments, manage AWS/cloud resources, and ensure performance and security compliance across PaaS environments.

The role requires 10+ years in Agile development, strong coding insight, and collaboration with customers, developers, and QA teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
Ten (10)+ years working in an Agile dev environment.
Must be fluent with Git.
Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 617/8, CentOS).
Experience with Windows system administration, monitoring, and performance.
Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
Experience with caching technologies (Memcache, Redis, APC, etc.).
Experience with MySQL (Clusters, Replication, Tuning) and Elasticsearch (Kibana a plus).
10+ years of system architecture with debugging large software systems.
10+ years of AWS cloud and virtualized server management in a PaaS environment.
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
Fluent in object-oriented programming in at least one language (Ruby, C, C++, Go, Python, or Java).
Ability to work with customers, developers, testing, PM, and support staff.

RHEL 617/8, RHCSNRHCE CentOS, Confluence / Jira, Python, Ruby, Perl, Java, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Software Defined Networking, deployment architecture, SLA requirements, Configuration Management, containerization, serverless technologies, Kubernetes, Gradle, Maven, ANT, Shell, Jenkins, Docker, Bamboo, Amazon Web Services, VMWare, Puppet, Chef, ansible, Memcache, Active MQ, Redis, APC, MySQL (Clusters, Replication, and Tuning), Elasticsearch, Kibana

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Ten (10)+ years working in an Agile dev environment (excludes education experience such as Bachelor's or Master degree in relevant field)

Experience with Windows system administration, system monitoring, instrumentation, resiliency and performance.
Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment preferred
Experience with caching technologies (Memcache, Active MQ, Redis, APC, etc.
Experience with MySQL (Clusters, Replication, and Tuning) and Elasticsearch (Kibana a plus). Knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, PCI compliance etc.
Ten (10)+ years of system architecture required with a demonstrated ability to read the code and understand the coding logic to assist in troubleshooting
Ten (10)+ years' experience managing/monitoring AWS cloud and virtualized servers for optimal performance while working in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment
Familiarity with software development life cycle models, agile, and DevOps programming methodologies.
Fluent skills in object oriented programming and experience in at least one programming language such as Ruby, C, C++, GO, Python, or Java.
Experience acquiring in-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk, and understand varied customer deployments.
Ability to successfully work with customers, developers, testing, project management, and support staff
Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
Clarity and precision in verbal and written communications
