Job summary

DeterTech is seeking a DevOps Laravel Engineer to build and maintain the infrastructure, automation and deployment pipelines for our Laravel-based applications. You will collaborate with the IT function and Group Operations to support teams across multiple regions.

You will implement IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and security practices to ensure high availability, disaster recovery and scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role supporting PHP/Laravel applications in production.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong Linux administration skills and experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Practical knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching technologies (Redis).
• Security-conscious mindset with best practices around secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure for Laravel applications using IaC.
• Manage development, staging and production environments for reliable releases.
• Own configuration and performance of web servers, databases and caching layers.
• Architect and maintain AWS footprint (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
• Collaborate to document architecture diagrams and runbooks.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Laravel apps and automate testing/build/deploy.
• Ensure monitoring, security and disaster recovery for the applications.
• Provide ongoing runbooks and escalation workflows with the Lead Developer.
