Compensation: $83,000 - $110,000 per year. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 5% of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply.

DevOps Engineer I – Remote, USA

This role is responsible for assisting in the development, deployment, and maintenance of applications and infrastructure using DevOps principles and practices. The DevOps Engineer I works closely with development teams to streamline the software delivery process and ensure the reliability and scalability of applications.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of containerized applications using Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Docker Swarm and ECS.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline and Bamboo.
• Support the management of code repositories using tools like BitBucket and GitHub.
• Assist in the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Participate in the configuration and management of messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues related to application deployment and infrastructure.
• Contribute to the documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices related to DevOps practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, or system administration.
• Basic knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker Swarm, ECS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins).
• Understanding of code repositories (e.g., BitBucket, GitHub).
• Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Familiarity with AWS services and best practices.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
