Job summary

WalkMe, an SAP company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team to help build and scale our runtime engine for hundreds of millions of users. The role supports our Federal business and requires US citizenship.

This position may involve working on Sundays as needed, with another day off in the same week. You will own deployment pipelines, observability, and automation, collaborating with development teams to ensure infra aligns with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 4+ years as a DevOps/SRE or similar role.
• Software development experience, startup or tech firm background preferred.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation with Gitlab.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud platform.
• Strong containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with databases (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with security best practices for infra and apps.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Proactive learner and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing deployment pipelines for smooth software releases.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions for performance and reliability.
• Support local development environments to optimize workflows.
• Coordinate with dev teams to align infra with project needs.
• Contribute to security hardening and audits of infra.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for ops efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and app issues to minimize downtime.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve scalability and security.
