Davidson is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) System Team, a specialized Agile group focused on enabling and sustaining the Agile development environment.

In the DevOps Engineer role, you will work closely with software, systems, DevOps, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions that support IBCS. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys cross‑functional collaboration, tackling complex integration challenges, and driving continuous improvement across development pipelines and environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the Continuous Delivery Pipeline for mission critical command and control (C2) software.
• Collaborate closely with software, systems, DevOps, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions in support of IBCS.
• Drive continuous improvement across development pipelines and environments, enhancing reliability, performance, and developer productivity.
• Influence and coordinate work across multiple teams without direct line authority, ensuring alignment on priorities and commitments.
• Take ownership to identify roadblocks, track actions, and drive issues through to closure.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels of the organization.

Job Requirements:

• Jr. Level - Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in STEM field and 0 years of experience.
• Mid-Level - Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree in STEM field and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in STEM field and 0 years
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification
• Active Secret Clearance

Strong experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts and implementation, including:

• Virtualized environments and virtual machines.
• Containerization technologies.
• Container orchestration platforms.

Hands-on experience with:

• Ansible and Ansible playbooks; Ansible Automation Platform.
• Jenkins or similar CI/CD automation tools.
• Sonatype Nexus or similar artifact repository managers.

• Proficiency in Linux-based development and runtime environments.
• Experience with modern configuration management and source control tools (Git / GitLab).

Desired (not required) Qualifications

• Experience with Python for automation, tooling, or pipeline integration.
• CI/CD experience in classified or highly controlled environments.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining test bench and benchmarking CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience defining CI/CD requirements, user stories, and use cases in partnership with development and test teams.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)

• Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance
